We collect only what we need to run this site and reply to you:

• —Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, any company name you provide, and the message itself.
• —Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to keep the service secure and available.

We do not ask for, and would rather you did not send, sensitive personal information through this website.

• —To reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to discuss and scope a possible engagement.
• —To keep the website secure, diagnose problems, and understand roughly how it is used.
• —To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running a secure website, and — once we are working together — on the performance of our contract with you. Where we ever rely on consent, you are free to withdraw it at any time.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site and our business — for example hosting, email, and error monitoring. They process data on our instructions and only to provide their service. We share your information with them only as far as necessary, and never sell it to anyone.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We keep enquiry emails and messages for as long as needed to have the conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. If we end up working together, records are kept for the life of the engagement and as long as the law requires afterwards.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but keeping software safe is our profession, and we hold our own house to the standard we would hold yours.

Our team and some of our providers are located in different countries. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised by data-protection law to keep it protected.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on this page rather than buried.
